Tears - Mayed Al Qasimi

Her eyes were like a starry sky
Oh night let me be her knight
Tears on her cheeks so pretty
Way rivers meet so witty

Her smile begs a million smiles
To dawn let it stay foregone
Hope this night will never end
Make that it froze I'll pretend

Her hips sway with such a trip
Dazzling me with mystery
Love is a journey we take
Through fields of flowers that break

Her hands touch a new romance
Like whistles to eardrums meet
That tingling slow sensation
Builds to a strong foundation

Her voice on an octave lives
So sweet I cannot deny
My eyes water up to free
All that I conceal from thee

Her skin of a soft satin
Under the moonlight it shines
Alluring to forever
And there he appears to her

Her song with me out of time
Forgotten she walks on by
To join another poor man
Where one ended one began

Her final act made me cry
For her I would give my life
Yet she chose to neglect me
And plant seeds of agony

Her vanity not her fault
But that of those who deceive
She wanted so much to run
Unfortunately not done

Her wish was to spread some joy
Those vultures of happiness
Took all that away from us
Of true love they were jealous

So now I just wait to die
Unless she returns to me
Just the thought of her away
I cannot observe this day
Now I will fade and decay

I see pain, I see jeers
I see sadness all these years
Don't you know?
Life holds too many sad stories

Each and every story
Holds a truth to absent glory
Let it be known
Let it be known

I see love, I see fears
I see goodness all my dears
Don't you know?
Life is too short for worries

Become a person learned
And you will be rewarded
He will return
He will return

I see death, I see tears
I see misery and biers
Don't you know?
Life is sacred in all its glories

Killing your victims
Will never solve your problems
It'll make it worse
It'll make it worse

In your heart you will find
Renewed faith in humankind
Don't you know?
Our world is neighbouring cities

So love one another
Mother, sister, father, brother
Our children don't deserve
To face our mistakes

You touch my heart in ways I can't see
You make me happy as happy can be
The sound of your voice is a symphony
You're more than my destiny

The wind cradles the pure scent of you
Filling my mind with a breath of your hue
I can't remember a feeling as true
My lonely heart beats anew

Your skin feels warm to touch and to kiss
Your lips taste as sweet as heavenly bliss
Your eyes are shy yet I cannot dismiss
The frisson of your bodice

I will hold you now close to my chest
To keep you warm as my love will attest
The way I feel is so seldom expressed
I love you it is confessed

Hold on, reminisce and drown despair
My friends you are as sunlight and a breath of fresh air

Be true, I care for you, I'll be there
A promise I will keep till the end of days, I swear

If someday you're not feeling alright
I'll do all I can to make your day a bit more bright

Whenever the darkness blinds your sight
I pray that my love for you will keep your path alight
