The Cube of Chance in his right hand
Leading the way in this dark night
Our hero having travelled far
Stops now to rest under moonlight

In his search for the brightest star
He came across a woodland sprite
Another of the magic realm
That helped his way to end the blight

It showed him through the Ose’s fog
A cursed land filled with demons
Once he moved past the deadly maze
He reached the forest of damsons

Though he has suffered on this quest
His will to live never weakens
One step forward, always forward
Throughout many changing seasons

The trees in this discovered land
Shine brightly with their silver fruit
Having had a peaceful night’s rest
He wakes to the sound of a flute

Beneath the morning dew he sees
A wood nymph that was such a beaut
It was her music that he heard
To sunrise it was a tribute

The Cube of Chance now glows and hums
He must be near the star he seeks
It can’t be a coincidence
That she was there beneath the peaks

Our hero quietly collects
His things before the wood nymph freaks
He must not let her see him lest
She disappear for countless weeks

The brightest star he seeks is here
And she will lead him to the grove
The grove where stars grow on the trees
Before they fall to skies above

So soundlessly he followed her
Past forests and a tiny cove
Through winding paths and mountain hills
If only one could colour love

The journey to this magic land
Where stars alight the forest air
Is filled with mystery and charm
And sights of beauty oh-so-rare

Imagination without bounds
And nature made for you to stare
This painting of a midnight sky
Evaporates all of despair

The wood nymph stopped before a stream
And stepped out of her dress shyly
She walked toward the smoothest bank
And stacked her things and clothes neatly

She entered the soft blue water
And summoned a golden nixie
To wash away the journey’s ache
With healing magic done briskly

Once she was dressed she took her flute
And played the warmest melody
Beyond the stream appeared a light
Within a frame that was sturdy

Our hero followed her with stealth
Into the woods that smelled mouldy
And sooner than he could but breathe
He saw a grove of stars windy

His quest to seek the brightest star
Comes to illuminated end
Once he finds what the Cube of Chance
Glows brightest for he will ascend

Before him suddenly she came
Her bravery he must commend
She smiled and pointed to a star
“In us you’ll always have a friend.”

He heard her thoughts in his calm mind
The Cube of Chance now bright and warm
He saw the brightest star fall down
And scooped it up, the strangest form

“Be safe and bring peace to the land.”
Her magic powers not the norm
He thanked her and was on his way
He could smell now the coming storm

For months he travelled with the star
Through nature and what seemed surreal
And finally he reached his land
The lady’s eyes with joy sparkle

He found the Ose later that day
The star to evil a stopple
With the light of love from the star
The sick Ose began to shrivel

As time passed by and goodness grew
His Kingdom too became so grand
That other lands with ancient song
Spread joy to all that would demand

The power of good, brightest star
Darkest evil it shall withstand
Never again shall evil rule
Peace for many centuries spanned

Golden Tree drops the sweetest fruit
Antiquity from this Jujube

Cold months have passed since our hero
Last stood in his humble Kingdom
The forces of the evil Ose
Now try to prevent his freedom

The darkest scum that oozed from Hell
Its aim to turn all to sodom
Under the shadows it now moves
To bound all people in thraldom

So many fell and more to go
But there is hope in all that passed
For our hero to his ideals
Shall solemnly remain steadfast

In pure and in princely nature
The evil Ose is most outclassed
As long as people are of good
This putrid mass shall never last

Our hero of the gentle soul
Atop a mountain of the mind
He sits and waits for time to fall
Upon this land of masses blind

The evil Ose shows out of fear
The filthy nature of its kind
When failing in its tyranny
It runs with its tail tucked behind

But surely it can clearly see
In this world it does not belong
No matter how far this Ose runs
It changes not that it is wrong

All it has done to our hero
When it believed that is was strong
Shall come back and devour it
And when it dies there shall be song

High up the mountain you will find
A cabin with a starlit room
Within it pacing silently
The lady with a healthy bloom

Together with our hero she
Lives happily away from gloom
This will to live, love and to laugh
The evil Ose cannot consume

Of pure nature you have to be
To climb here and reach the summit
The Ose's pet, the rabid hound
Died when struck by a small comet

It couldn't reach the mountain top
Its nature that of a maggot
The magic that protects the peak
Has been a well guarded secret

Our hero now on his quest goes
Another page in his memoir
He moves to find the brightest light
The life force of a falling star

To reach the land of pulsing beams
He needs to travel very far
Into his mind and through a maze
Of the everlasting quasar

Travelling by night and through the woods
Moving towards the north blue moon
Behind a wall of ancient trees
He happened upon a lagoon

He saw a glimmer on a rock
A beauty you cannot oppugn
It mesmerised him, in his place
He stood as he began to swoon

In all her brilliance she lay bare
Upon the rock her truth displayed
The rarest of the magic realm
He had found a young lake mermaid

She beckoned for him to come near
And so he quickly passed the glade
Into the water he then went
Her soft gaze he could not evade

The legends speak of her splendour
Her skill to put you in a trance
The legends also speak of hope
If you find one a wish she grants

Our hero, now beside her, holds
The key to fight the Ose perchance
Revealing to her his story
She gives to him the Cube of Chance

The Cube of Chance will help him find
The brightest star in all the land
And with it he will soon bring back
Peace to the realm, good will expand

The evil Ose shall then decay
From this Kingdom it shall be banned
For honour and love our hero
Will always and forever stand

Back in the cabin high above
The lady waits for his return
Beside the fireplace she sits
Staring at the seasoned wood burn

The night around the cabin comes
The porch is lit by a lantern
The moons are coming into view
She stares outside in aching yearn

Golden Tree drops the sweetest fruit
Antiquity from this Jujube

Once upon a much slower time
There was a Kingdom ruled by one
A man that cared and was so kind
To all his subjects, his kinsmen

He loved his people very much
He served and bled, the ideal son
This northern land, this green and blue
His vision made it an Eden

One quiet day he took a stroll
Far up a hill and past a stream
Where to his eyes he saw a lake
That he once saw in a far dream

Beyond the lake he found a tree
With leaves of gold, yellow and cream
He walked with one hand on his heart
Towards the tree that sang agleam

With outreached arms he touched a branch
And felt it shake with drops of rain
But when he looked upon the sky
There were no clouds in this domain

He understood what that tree saw
In that moment all was inane
As he was jolted back to Earth
The moons had come and he felt pain

Stumbling aside he saw a bird
His heart still aching from his trip
He took some seeds from his pocket
To feed the sad bird with a skip

It just stood there beside the tree
Not knowing what was in the scrip
But when he poured the seeds from it
The bird, now happy, did a flip

With curious and most grateful eyes
It pecked some seeds and flew away
He watched as it landed nearby
On a smaller tree with a sway

From this short distance he could hear
The birds' twitter, "Thank you" they say
And so with an accomplished heart
He sat down, on his back he lay

Slowly he fell asleep and dreamt
Of green waterfalls and blue waves
But suddenly without a sign
Darkness came to make of them graves

He shook his head and wiped the tears
He feared his people turned to slaves
By the cold lake he silently
Washed his face and thought of his staves

Which one to use? Which one he'll raise?
The staff of hope or staff of love
The staff of war or staff of peace
The staff that always glows above

He made his way through silent trees
Of only them he could think of
His people were to face evil
That fit a man just like a glove

The omen he saw at the tree
Told of a time of misery
A time where justice is a myth
An atmosphere that is sickly

The architect of such a plan
An Ose that craves what is filthy
A creepy face so full of puss
Its mouth speaks words made blistery

A hound from Hell shall rule with hate
Its Kingdom shall fall into debt
A debt that cripples innocence
To humankind it is a threat

This hound shall kill and rape the dead
Devouring all that it can get
The Ose shall laugh at such a state
The hound from Hell, a rabid pet

Our hero reached his Kingdom walls
To find that fire raged inside
He found the street with crumpled lumps
The little children dead, he cried

In all this darkness he saw light
When from the skies a bird did glide
Towards the gate he heard a noise
It was the light that he had spied

It moved across and shone so bright
A lady lying on the sand
He took his cape and wrapped her up
She smiled and kissed him on his hand

"I am the bird you saved today..."
She said whilst coming to a stand
She had come here to warm his heart
To take him back to the woodland

He went with her to Golden Tree
For several years he was to wait
To learn how to defeat evil
He had to learn how not to hate

The lady kept him safe from them
The evil hound and its sick mate
He will return and save his home
For after all it is his fate

Golden Tree drops the sweetest fruit
Antiquity from this Jujube
Sorry to say but this concludes
